Author and marine biologist Amanda Flannery takes students on an adventure as they learn all about whale sharks.

The book is short, easy to read and great for students to explore. The images have been painted and they are beautiful. There are unique facts on each page, as she also teachers student about how scientists study these amazing animals.

Kids will love Winifred and hopefully this will inspire further learning about sharks and less fear. At the back of the book there is a vocabulary list, ways kids can help sharks and a list of additional resources. Thanks Amanda for including Sharks4Kids ( was a pleasant surprise).

Overall, we love the story and think kids will too. It’s an engaging way to help students dive into the world of sharks. PURCHASE BOOK LEARN MORE ABOUT AMANDA
